          <datacite:description descriptionType="Abstract">This study considers the learning significance of musical activities for young children by examining musical activities and learning based on the characteristics of music, and presents the connecting factors between them. Although music is commonly used in childcare settings, it is unclear how children learn through musical activities. The findings reveal that the child receives some "stimulation" in the activity and carries out "unobservable actions," expressing it as "observable actions." In particular, the specifics of the unobservable action become the learning for the child. For example, in musical activities, the child receives stimulation from the music itself and performs an unobservable action to consider the speed of the music, taking various observable actions related to the speed of the music. Second, because music itself is consistently invisible, and because "feelings" and "music" appear as one, the unobservable action carried out in relation to feelings can be an understanding of the music itself. That is, in musical activities, feelings play a part in learning.</datacite:description>
