被服構成実習指導上の工夫 : ジャケット製作について Useful Device for Teaching Practical in Clothing Construction : Making a Jacket 今井, 裕子 Imai, Yuuko ジャケット製作 making jacket 被服構成 Clothing construction 方形裁ち rectangular cutting application/pdf For teaching a clothes making class in practice, I devised some instruction planning for subjects and steps of making a jacket. 1. Instruction planning: Making buttonholes was practiced prior to the sewing step. Fusible interlinings were bonded to the rectangular fabrics before marking the shapes of the pattern pieces onto a fabric. 2. Body measurements were limited to the most necessary places; bust/chest, waist and hip measurement were for choosing the correct size pattern, and sleeve-length measurement was for suiting one's taste. Two-step pinbasting' as the pinbaste technique was instructed. 3. New method, 'rectangular cutting' was developed for cutting cloth after laying out the jacket pattern pieces.
