This study analyzes responses to a questionnaire on perceptions of disabilities, conducted with 423 students enrolled in the course “Support system for people with disabilities” between 2018 and 2023.\n The survey examined several aspects: the most associated type of disability(“physical,” “intellectual,” “mental,” “developmental,” or “intractable diseases”), the presence of prior interaction with persons with disabilities, the presence of family members with disabilities, scores on disability-related perceptions, and free-text responses to the prompt, “What comes to mind when you think of disability?” Questionnaires were administered at both the first and final sessions of the course.\n Results revealed differences in the types of disabilities most frequently associated by year of enrollment, as well as factors reducing negative perceptions of disabilities, such as being female and having family members with disabilities.\n Quantitative text analysis further indicated that the diversity of terms describing disability perceptions in the free-text responses expanded more at the final session than at the first
