| 内容記述 | The security of energy and food self-sufficiency are the root of independent nations. In Japan, food self-sufficiency rate is 38％, and that of chicken egg is 10％, because the feed of chicken is imported by foreign country. The causes of decrease in self-sufficiency rate are the import of excess agricultural products, such as wheat and corn, decrease of rice consumption, and the wrong acreage reduction policy through excuse for farmer protection. The fundamental cause is austerity by the Ministry of Finance. The number of affected male cancer is the prostate and that of female cancer is mammary gland. In Japan the number of patients with these cancers were smaller than United Stats at old time but now occupied at top. This change is apparently induced by the westernization of the diet. One of its improvement measures appeared to be the revival of rice food culture, especially conversion of school meals to rice foods. Japanese government and the Ministry of Agriculture, Foresty and Fisheries have been promoted the largescale farm for productivity enhancement. However the international trend is to emphasize the family farm. The most important problem is the aging of workforce. It is essential that we need not only maintenance of short income security of farmers but also the building system of inheritance of agricultural technology long period of time. The biggest crisis for agriculture in Japan is the seeds, which have inherited by ancestors, It was the law passed that country management of seeds without profitability transferred to private sectors and will occur dangerous replacement by genetically modified seeds. | |||||||||
