This time I have, however, placed greater emphasis on manuscripts, the Venice, the\nParma, the Münster, the Coimbra, the London31553, the Cambridge13, of K43 to K96.\nAs regards methodology, I first checked in detail the dissimilarities in six manuscripts, and looking at\nthe way originated, I was able to detect three different levels of discrepancy. The first one comprises\nmistakes inadvertently made by the copyists and reflects small differences in pitch and rhythm in the\nscores. The second level deals with variants in time signatures, tone symbols, musical terminology and\ndifferences of content in some particular sections. They obviously reveal a different frame of mind in\nthe composer and make us postulate original works that are at variance with one another.
