The importance of art education for young children in particular, was not thoroughly focused on or addressed during this time in France.\n 　\"Art and culture\" is vested in all people, and it is only recently that enough attention has been paid to the importance of art education for children in their early years.  This concept of art as an important element in childhood education is extremely late-coming with regards to art education reform in France. 　For the first time in 1994, Agnes Desfosses2 created a spectacle for very young children, from six months to four years old, and gained wide success with her efforts to promote theatrical art for children.  As a result of her success, Desfosses was invited to Germany, Portugal, Spain and Belgium to perform.
