A study for children with both physical disabilities and intellectual disabilities who use wheelchairs was conducted on walking and gait.“ Learning about walking” here is defined as learning that consciously incorporates learning tasks that may lead to independent walking in all learning situations except for instruction during independent activity time, with the goal of achieving the end goal throughout the entire school life. Thanks to these instructions, a child who had been told by medical staff that he could not walk acquired the ability to maintain standing, and eventually was able to walk on his own without nursing care for a few meters, but in a stable way.
