内容記述 | I have been in charge of the "Environment" subject area in the Guidelines for Kindergarten Education and the Guidelines for Nursery Centers, and have given lectures on nature play and nature experiences for young children on many occasions. In the course of my teaching, I have often felt that recent years have seen a lack of nature experiences among students. I wondered whether this was a characteristic of the students at training institutions for nursery school teachers, etc., or whether it was a general situation in a wide range of fields, and decided to examine nature play and nature experience from a broader perspective by conducting a literature survey and questionnaire survey of students in our department and making comparisons.The literature review revealed that people have been moving away from nature experiences for considerably longer than initially anticipated, and that this is a global trend, not limited to Japan. Furthermore, it was found that even among the parents' generation, there is a lack of experience with nature play, and that the parents themselves do not know how to play. It is feared that this trend is likely to continue and accelerate as it cascades down the generational chain. In this situation, training institutions have an important role to play. In addition, the results of a questionnaire survey conducted on students of the Department of Child Care and Education enabled us to grasp the students'awareness of nature and nature experiences and their actual conditions.In this paper, based on the findings, I summarized the problems related to nature experience and nature play, and described the direction of their solution. In the future, I would like to introduce some of these issues into my lectures,embody them, devise appropriate evaluation methods, and improve them through repeated verification. In addition, to ensure that learning is not limited to the classroom, I intend to conduct curriculum studies, as well as to work on building partnerships with the community and external organizations. | |||||||
