内容記述 | Rebuilding the body is not only a way to improve wind instrument performance, but also a means to combat the leveling-off of development. Ultimately, we believe that rebuilding the body makes it possible for an individual to perform throughout his or her entire life. Fundamentally, this means correcting posture to make the body able to withstand gravity, and loosening tight muscles. There are a variety of causes of daily habits, including fascia slippage, and the brain’s mistaken perception of a line of balance, and the lack of development of antigravity muscles due to the desire to feel comfortable. Closure of the glottis, which is the exit for air when playing a wind instrument; securing the necessary capacity of the thorax, which facilitates raising and lowering of the diaphragm; and the movements of the respiratory muscles that force out the air, are factors that determine the quality of a wind instrument performance. While we also recommend the use of medical instruments such as ultra-short wave and audible sound wave vibrators, here we consider what an individual person alone can do. We contend that building a body that functions so as to make it easier to acquire performing techniques is akin to improving ability. |
