内容記述 | In the school education of Japan, it is a teacher who ask questions, and it is children who answer them; that is considered as how school education should originally be. However even there are those kinds of stereotypes, it should be children who ask questions as they are the ones who are learning. It is natural that children have questions and ask them to teachers when they learn something. In other words, what it means to learn for children is that they learn how to craft questions, and keep asking them. In today’s psychology, the research has reached to the conclusion that we need to put the biggest focus on the fact that true learning can only be realized and led by the inner “questioning” by the “learner”. Therefore we need to consider the way teachers encourage children to create and ask questions. If there are any educational meanings in the teachers asking questions to children, it is to let the children ask questions to inner side of themselves and craft questions. What we need to pay attention here is for children to “learn how to ask questions at any time” rather than “find answers to the questions”. The true questioning can happen when teacher’s question stimulates and triggers the children to explore. When children recognize the society, it is necessary to find out where they stand, in which point of view they see, and what kind of things they are interested in. Recognition means recognition from children’s point of view. To create and structure a lesson, it is a necessary condition to see and research lessons as a process to create “a new recognition from children’s point of view”. |
