内容記述 | Play is one of the most important aspects of a child's life. It supports children's physical and mental growth and development and cultivates humanity and sociality. Play is considered as a major activity that occupies the center of childcare. Many studies and practices have been conducted on play from various perspectives. The prevailing view is that children's play is a world with its own uniqueness, and there're research has been done to understand what the structure is. In this paper, while referring to these findings, I have discussed the construction of children's unique worlds in play based on the affordance theory proposed by James Jerome Gibson. Through understanding that each child forms a different cognitive world even in the same environment, and thinks and acts based on this world, it is now possible to make a broader interpretation of children's play. As a result, it was concluded it is significant that the movement of back and forth between the real world and the environment world called Umwelt by the child's imagination. Thinking about play and the environment gave great implications in considering for how children build their own meaning world and form their identities. | |||||||||
