内容記述タイプ Abstract
内容記述 This is our report on therapeutic practice of the musical rythm therapy applied on the group of children who are mentally retarded (inclusive of autistic children) at Day-Care Center in Hikari-machi, Hirosima. Actual therapy was conducted by ten of my seminar students and three nurses from Child Care Center. Children were divided into two groups; one for children who attend school accompanied with their mothers, and the other by themselves. Seminar students were also divided into two, and they performed above mentioned therapy for the period of 30 munites for the two groups. The purpose of issuing this report rests, primarily, on the introduction of content of this musical therapy itself and emphasis are not, necessarily, placed on the results or diversified form of its process. We chose 'children's songs' to be applied in this therapeutic study and they are not geared to the development of children's musical sensitivity. From our past experience of the similar therapy, we chose the melody of major key which have much joyful mood rather than the music of minor key, and further, we carefully chose the melody of rather speedy tempo and one with much clear rythm along with some musical instruments to attract children's interest and attention. The Effect of Musical Therapeutic Practice Example 1 showed a remarkable effect of this therapy noticed in the child T which, in my opinion, is responsible for the joyful, rythmical tone of the music and none other particular reasons; thus the melody of "Washing Machine" along with the instrument resulted in a very effective way. Example 2 also can be considered as the effectual result of the above mentioned rythm, instrument and joyful mood or the succession of them. The therapy this time ended at the stage of "Rapport" (meaning children in harmoneous rapport with therapist), however, the ideal form of the musical therapy should not stay at this stage. Rather, it should advance beyond the "Rapport" stage onto other lessons in parallel. Some major problems remain for us, therapists, in the future practice, which is, how to make response of children in the area of basic lessons and have children learn by themselves and eventually to become adaptable in the society.
