Students' knowledge, consciousness and practice of their healthy life can be seen as a reflection of the degrees of fullness on their living at the college. In this study, a survey was conducted in June, 1984 by questionnaires and 761 students, or 93 % of the total of the students at the women's Junior college. And the relationship between students' knowledge, consciousness and practice of their healthy life and the degrees of fullness on their living at the college were studied by using multiregression analysis with the categorical data of the questionnarire. The degrees of fullness on students' living was defined as the objective variable, and respective questions in their knowledge, consciousness and practice of their healthy life as the explanatory variable, and the analysis was conducted by the statistical method of Hayashi's quantification theory II. The results of the analysis showed that the first root was not high in the correlation rate in each analysis, while the categorical discriminate analysis of higher levels and lower levels of fullness on students' living revealed a discrininate success rate of 69.9 %, 75 .8 % and 77.9 % on their knowledge, consciousness and practice, respectively. The factors regarding students' consciousness and practice of their healthy life had a considerable influence on the degrees of fullness on their living at the college. The factors most closely related to the present fullness of students' living were that of mental and social health. |
