| 内容記述 | In this paper, I reconsidered arguments of Edmund Burke with regard to a relaxation of restrictions on the Irish Trade, on the basis of my previous studies of Burke (concerning Irish problems), and included many additions and corrections in my previous treatise. After the Battle of Saratoga, the political situation in Ireland rapidly grew turbulent, causing the House of Great Britain to deliberate a relaxation of restrictions on the Irish Trade. Burke was the most vigorous advocate for a relaxation of restrictions. Keeping the content of his Tracts relating to Popery Laws (1765 ?) in mind, this paper examines the meaning and purpose of Burke’s arguments, and clarifies his political aims. |
