The goal of this study was to (a) clarify process leading to shoot in set offense by attacking frequency and success rate of shooting per shoot area in the FIBA Americas Championship 2006, and (b) obtain underlying data to coach the players in various techniques and tactics in the future.
The result showed that offense tactics using low-post area (LA) and three-point area (TPA) were employed frequently in the world-class competition.
It was suggested that the inside-out in set offense combined using screens to make space would be an effective offense tactics in order to invent difficult situation for defense, improve the success rate of shooting. Moreover, there may be a chance
that a mastery and success rate of this tactics lead to the victory of the team. |
