| 内容記述 | On the 24th of March in 1999，when NATO air strikes on Serbia began，I happened to be staying in Germany，the geographical situation of which is only a short flight from Macedonia，NATO's military operation base at this time. Kosovo was once an autonomous province in the former Yugoslavia but it is now under direct rule of the Serbian Government，the president of which is infamous for his narrow-minded ethnic policy of his state. I am hesitant to give a justification of the procedure of any friendly group of nations' interference in the home affairs of another independent state before the agreement of the United Nations as well as the cause of seperatists' violent activities to their government to regain their lost self-determination. However，the Serbians' brutish way of driving Kosovo-Albanians out of their homelands is totally unacceptable，because human rights should as a matter of course be highly valued as we approach the turn of the century. For us to understand the Kosovo problem and to keep the whole of Europe in peace，the knowledge of ethnic feeling with the historical background is a must. I would like to analyze and explain the rise of the troubles from the beginning in order to draw an objective conclusion with my detached feeling as a Japnese. | |||||||||
