内容記述 | This paper clarifies the educational effects of learning through music outreach at universities and demonstrates that music outreach will be required for human resources development needed by university music departments. For this research, we handled the work undertaken at the Department of Music, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Hiroshima Bunka Gakuen University over the three school years from 2011 to 2013 as a practical case study, and used the results of students' practical reports and questionnaire surveys of graduates. Through learning with music outreach, the students acquired deep knowledge and experience in their major areas of study, learned the necessity of being able to communicate, found out about their own lack of knowledge and experience as well as the difficulty of two-way communication, and also got a true sense of how music outreach is a comprehensive type of learning that also leads to improved conduct, manners and human education. From the questionnaire surveys of graduates, we also discovered that both their studies and experiences gained through music outreach have helped them as educators, when teaching lessons and in everyday conversation, and also as musicians. | |||||||||
