| 内容記述 | The number of children with developmental disorders are growing rapidly in Japan, and the need for practical ways to educate children with and without handicaps in the same classroom setting is one of the most crucial aspects in the field of education. This paper introduces improvisational music-making as a way of incorporating children with different needs together to learn from each other's unique qualities. University students who are in the field of education experienced improvisational music-making, then immediately after the experience, they answered a number of survey questions about the experience. The survey was collected from 34 students. Their responses were analyzed by counting the number of words which were used the most in the survey. As a result, a majority of the students noted that the drumming experience was “fun”, “free” and “expressive” and they were in favor of experiencing it again. The students accepted uniqueness and differences in each other's musical expressions, and also realized improvisational music-making itself can be utilized in the inclusive education and child-care setting where handicapped children could and non-handicapped children learn together. | |||||||||
