本稿では、ギフテッドの子どもに関する日本での研究の動向を概観し、今後の研究課題を明らかにすることを目的とした。特に、ギフテッドの子どもの特性に起因する子ども及びその保護者が抱える困難とその支援方策に関する研究をレビューすることで、ギフテッドの子どもへの支援の在り方についてまとめた。その結果、ギフテッドの子どもたちは、その発達の凸凹がゆえに様々な側面での「困り感」を持つことが明らかにされた。さらに、その「困り感」に対する支援は、学習面へのアプローチが多いことが示された。また、諸外国のギフテッド教育については、先進国を対象に一定の知見がまとめられているといえる。これらのことから、先行研究における課題として、１点目に、困難に直面している子どもたちおよびその保護者のニーズ把握が乏しいこと、２点目に、子どもへの支援が学習面に偏り、社会生活における「困り感」が置き去りにされていることが明らかとなった。そして、これらの解決が今後の研究および支援活度に求められると推察された。 |

The purpose of this article is to review trends in research on gifted children in Japan and to identify issues for future research. We summarized the support for gifted children by reviewing research on the difficulties faced by children and their parents due to their characteristics. As a result, it was revealed that gifted children have "difficulties" in various aspects due to their developmental irregularities. Furthermore, it was shown that support for these "difficulties" is often provided in the form of learning approaches. In addition, it can be said that gifted education in other countries have been compiled for developed countries. These findings indicate that, first, the needs of children facing difficulties and their parents/guardians are not well understood, and second, support for children is biased toward learning and leaves out the sense of "difficulties" in their social lives. It was also found that the support for the children was focused on their learning, leaving the "sense of need" in their social life behind. It is assumed that these issues will require further research and support activities. |
